Local 937 Color Guard
The Chelsea Fire Department Color Guard was established and founded by Firefighter Robert Dion (Retired) in the 1970’s. With hard work and dedication F.F. Robert Dion along with other members of Local 937 were able to represent our department with HONOR, LOYALTY and RESPECT.
The current membership today consists of active members of the department which volunteer their time to continue the same level of services that our retired brothers before us have shown. The Chelsea Fire Department Color Guard remains to be highly respected throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts because of its leadership and dedication taught to us by past members.
The Color Guard provides assistance to the families of Chelsea Fire Department and its members in making arrangements and details involving funeral and memorial services for both active and retired fire department members.
Honor Guard duties include;
· Posting of Colors
· Last Alarm Ceremonies
· Graveside Duties
· Flag Folding Ceremonies
· Pipes and Drums
